This is going to be my first review for Revlon for the 50 day lipstick challenge. Revlon as brand has always been about lipshades. I remember keeping a stock of lipsticks from Revlon as one of my most treasured possession. Over the period of time, Revlon has also transformed and evolved a lot and now their product range is really progressive. I will be wearing couple of colors for you guys during my 50 shades of lips challenge. For today, I am picking FIERY 270 From REVLON MATTE BALM. Let’s have a closer look:
FIERY 270 From REVLON MATTE BALM is a shade of Wine color. It’s not the darkest of wine lipshade available in market. FIERY 270 has exceptionally smooth application but the color payoff is not that great. Two or three swipes of the stick are required for the real color to show-up. The moisturizing balm effect in the entire range is worth applauding. FIERY 270 From REVLON MATTE BALM Range is also not a proper matte. Because of Balm effect in the lipstick, the lips do end up with slight shiny creamy texture.
It is not a heavy lipstick to wear. This one Smells like fresh mint and you can feel the minty cooling flavor as you apply it on your pretty lips. I also realised after couple of drinks that FIERY 270 From REVLON MATTE BALM is a non –transferrable lipstick which is so much required.
Good news is, FIERY 270 From REVLON MATTE BALM is a twisted bottom lipstick which means, no sharpening and no product wastage. Though I took some time to figure out that I can actually twist the bottom for lipstick to pop out, so some information sticker on the body will be a good thing to do.
This can be a perfect shade for those who secretly admire the love for wine shades but don’t really like to go loud about it. It’s a subtle version of wine color and will be best suited for fair skin complexion.
Priced at 995 INR, the packaging of FIERY 270 From REVLON MATTE BALM is very impressive. The body is colored which makes it so much easy for the user to identify from the heaps of lipsticks. The tip of the lipstick is pointed which allows easy application.
