Oh it’s a Wednesday, we are almost approaching the weekend and guess what I am also returning to my city today. Enough reasons to make my day, though these days nothing makes me happier than that moment when I dig out a new lipstick to wear for you guys. So as promised we have touched the 5th day of 50 day lipstick challenge and the love that I am receiving is unimaginable.
This day calls for a little experiment. This is a brand new lipstick from Lakme. I picked a not-so-my Type of a shade from the newly launched LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE. MR 4 CHERRY CHIC from LAKME 9 TO 5 is color of the day.
As they say do not go on the appearance, as soon as the stick came out I genuinely thought this is going to a dark chocolaty shade. But guess what … I think the pictures will do the talking now!
So the point I am trying to make is unlike the color of the stick CHERRY CHIC from LAKME 9 TO 5 Gave me an extreme surprise by giving a beautiful Chocolate red tint to my lips. Though it does have undertones of Brown but that’s what actually makes it’s a different kind of lipshade.
As the name suggests it has the qualities of a primer as well, which makes the application really smooth. One gentle stroke of lipstick on your lips and you are sorted!
And yes, the effect is really matte. No shine, no creamy finish but just Perfect Matte. The primer in lipstick ensures that your lips are well moisturized as well.
It is a great shade that can be worn to office, though re application might be required after 6-7 hours !
Priced at 480 INR, LAKME 9 TO 5 MATTE + PRIMER range comes in a shiny metallic finish packaging. Honestly, I am not too impressed with the packaging as there is a scope of ruining the lipstick while opening or closing as the stick doesn’t roll completely inside the lower body of the packaging.
