We are on day 42 of 50 shades of Lips and I have decided to pick up a serious shade today. This is from Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + matte range. It is called CABERNET CATEGORY and yes we shouldn’t be judging it before applying it !
This color is such a surprise …I have never seen such a beautiful chocolate lip color. The moment I applied it on my lips, I knew if I am going to rock in this. CABERNET CATEGORY from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range turned up my look instantly. The application is damn smooth and the lippy moves like a dream on your lips. The pigmentation is amazing. One gentle swipe on your lips is perfect to get the shade. Do not rub it else it might just look cakey. This entire range by LAKME has primer & matte finish. Primers are basically to make sure that the lipstick gives out the perfect color which is even and doesn’t settle in the fine lines of your lips. Primer also makes sure that the lips remain hydrated and lipstick doesn’t look chapped.
CABERNET CATEGORY from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range is a great color but some things really did bother me. This one settled in the fine lines of my lips and therefore made my lips look chapped, which they actually weren’t.It took around 10 minutes for this lippy to turn matte and it transferred quite a bit. The staying capacity is not more than 3 hours. And yes it does tend to make your lips dry after an hour or so… but It should be fine with a coat of lip balm.
Since winters are right here in new delhi, CABERNET CATEGORY from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range is a apt shade for cold winter nights. The sweet vanilla fragrance will hardly stay but nevertheless, you won’t be minding it not being there!
Priced at 400 INR, CABERNET CATEGORY from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range is packaged in a rose gold colored metallic body. There is no color indication on the packaging of the lipstick which makes it quiet a task to identify the lipstick from the rest. The oval shape of the lipstick doesn’t allow me to make perfect edges at the corner of the lips (P.S I have Medium thin lips) though it can be managed.
So my last words, This is definitely a sassy shade and big yes especially for those who love shades of brown/ chocolate with warm undertone. Also this color will a sport for all the skin complexions !
